I do research that involves being outdoors in the winter to record data and handle things that require manipulation. I wear wristies as my base hand garment, and layer with gloves. When I need to handle a pencil or equipment that requires dexterity, I remove the gloves to complete the job. With the wristies on, my hands stay warm longer. For me, they have become a staple. They are also easy to fold together and keep in a pocket ready to be used the next time.
