Alpine Helmet Active AirX The Rossignol AirX Ski and Snowboard Helmet is a very lightweight in mold low profile helmet with 7 air vents and removable vent plugs. The polycarbonate in mold shell features an anti bacterial lining with 3 sets of velvet removable washable padding. For ultimate venting there are 6 in vents and one outlet vent. They are all opened and closed by a one piece plug. Vents are adjusted by removing the one piece vent plug. The soft side removable ear pads have large openings for better hearing. The AirX includes a fit dial for precision fitting. This helmet saved my life when I had a binding fail in a race (I was going over 45 mph!) I broke through a fence, took a ski to the head, and I smacked my head on rocks. This helmet looked rough when it was all over, but my head was perfectly protected! I am buying another one now!
